Honey Stables - Beekeeping Experience
Come and join us for 75 minutes of fun! You'll learn all about Greytown Honey, our founding story and history before getting up close and personal with the bees themselves.
Following this you'll get a hands on experience with our extraction plant before finishing off this incredible experience with a full honey tasting and learning about how the different nectar sources are collected and how we know what's in every jar of honey, the different tastes, mysteries behind Mānuka Honey and what makes us unique and sought after!
Our groups are capped at a maximum of 10 and pricing is $65 per person, although if you have more please do get in touch and depending on our capability we might be able to open more slots up for you.
You're welcome to add a few parts onto your tour, you'll need to book these in advance and allow some extra time. If you'd like to book these extras, please email us after you've made your booking and we'll add on manually.
Make Your Own Honey: You'll follow the processing through and have a go labelling and packing your very own full sized jar of honey to take home with you. Cost $20, additional time 15minutes.
Botanical Tour: Join us for a walk through our native sanctuary we're creating for not only our native bird life but also as early nectar sources for our bees. We'll show you how you can identify the difference between Manuka and Kanuka and teach you what natives we find are the best for bees and why! Cost $20, additional time 15 minutes.
